Ep 56- Facilitating Learning & Breaking Cultural Norms in Soccer w/ Julian Khalili

For today's show, I'm joined by Julian Khalili!

Julian, is a USSF Licensed and ecological dynamics inspired coach. Julian's full time position is as a youth coach, and Coordinator of Zone 1 ages U6-U12 ages (recently extended to U14) at Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club in Virginia

 As Zone 1 Coordinator, he is responsible for developing and overseeing a consistent player development identity across the club in collaboration with relevant age group / program directors. 

He has recently earned the role of the Clubs Director of Technical Training, a program traditionally based on isolated technical repetitions which Julian has morphed into a program that embraces movement abundance and representative learning design.

 Julian intends to ignite a fire of positive change in the United State's culture of soccer ranging from grassroots up to the professional game.

Julian is one of the top young up and coming coaches in the space and does a great jon implementing ecological concepts in his practice. 

He also run a blog called "Makes Sense Soccer" and we discuss some of this blog posts.

We discuss many things including his journey from technical model coach to one who embraces an ecoD approach and all the things that come w/ it!
