For today’s episode, I’m joined by Dr. Paula Silva!

Paula is an associate professor  in the Psychology department at the University of Cincinnati. A native of Brazil, Paula received her undergrad and masters from the Universidade Federal in Minas Gerais in Brazil. She graduated w/ degrees in Physical therapy and Rehabilitation Science.

She received her PHD at the University of Connecticut in Experimental Psychology. At Cincinnati,  she is the  Co-director of graduate training in the Psychology Department and one of the primary faculty of the Center for Cognition, Action & Perception at the University of Cincinnati.

She studies human performance, both functional and dysfunctional, from the perspectives of complexity science and ecological psychology. Paula is an accomplished researcher who’s work has been adopted by many  practitioners and many in the movement community.

Her overarching goal is to promote effective cross-fertilization between theory and clinical practice in the fields of rehabilitation and sports medicine.

As I mentioned Earlier, Paula’s work has made it’s way into the coaching circles, especially her work w/ the concept of anti fragility.

Much of the focus this episode is centered on this concept of Antifragility and designing practice that's conducing for creative motor solutions. I really enjoyed this conversation. SOOO many great takeways for coaches in here!

I hope you enjoy the show!
